1. CACofSP
provides a comfortable, private, child-friendly setting that
is both physically and psychologically safe
for diverse populations
of children and their families.

CACofSP
provides a multidisciplinary team for response to child abuse
allegations that includes
law
enforcement, child protective
services, prosecution,
mental health, medical, victims advocacy and the CAC staff.
3. CACofSP
provides a designated legal entity responsible for program and
fiscal operations and implements
basic sound
administrative
policies.
4. CACofSP promotes policies, practices, and procedures
that are culturally competent.
5. CACofSP
promotes forensic interviews which are legally sound, are of
neutral, fact finding nature, and are
coordinated
to avoid duplicative
interviewing.
6. CACofSP
provides specialized medical evaluation and treatment services
to all CAC clients and coordinates
a multidisciplinary team response to provide follow-up
referrals and/or treatment as necessary.
7. CACofSP
provides specialized mental health services as part of the
team response, either at the Children’s
Advocacy Center or through
coordination with other treatment providers.
8. CACofSP
provides for victim support and advocacy to be available
throughout the investigation and prosecution.
9. CACofSP
provides team discussion and information sharing regarding the
investigation, case status, and
services needed by
the
child and family on a routine basis.
10. CACofSP
has developed and implemented a system for monitoring case
progress and tracking case outcomes
for
all team components
